Scott and Kate met playing co-ed indoor soccer. Scott wow'd Kate with his killer soccer moves and his stories of travel. They had their first date at an Argentine restaurant where they continued to talk about their love of travel and Scott's love of antique cars ;).

Scott proposed on March 18, 2012 while on a back-country ski trip to the 10th Mountain Jackal Hut, near Leadville, Colorado. Under a beautiful wind-worn tree, while pretending to adjust his ski boots, Scott pulled the ring out of his pocket and with shaky hands asked Kate to marry him. With wide eyes, she said yes!
